Your Privacy Choices

Request a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or opt out of sale and sharing. Here is how, and what to expect.

Template for legal review. This page is a working draft written to the structure these documents normally take. Items in square brackets must be completed, and the whole document reviewed by a lawyer qualified in US consumer finance and privacy law, before the site goes live.

What you can ask for

  • Know and access — what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, why we have it and who we disclosed it to
  • Portability — a copy in a usable format, or transmitted to another business where technically feasible
  • Correct — fix information that is inaccurate
  • Delete — remove information, subject to the exceptions below
  • Opt out — of any sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising
  • Limit — the use of sensitive personal information, where your state provides that right
  • Appeal — ask us to reconsider if we decline your request, where your state provides an appeal right

Do we sell your information?

We do not sell your personal information for money. Advertising trackers are not enabled in this site build. Optional analytics is blocked by default and may run only after you choose to allow it. Our browser privacy controls also keep future sale/sharing or targeted-advertising tags off unless you make a choice that permits them and applicable law allows that choice.

Presenting your application to lenders and lessors so they can decide whether to make you an offer is not a sale. It is the service you asked us to perform, and it is what the application authorises.

Global Privacy Control

Where state law requires it, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing for that browser. Because the signal is tied to a browser rather than to you, submitting a request below gives you a more durable record.

How to submit a request

Use any of these routes. All of them reach the same team.

  • Email [email protected] with “Privacy Request” in the subject line
  • Call 888-509-1370, Mon–Sat 9am–11pm ET, Sun 10am–9pm ET
  • Write to Terrace Finance Corp., Attn: Privacy, 2580 Anthem Village Dr, Suite B, Henderson, NV 89052
  • For browser-level cookie and tracking choices, use the Open privacy settings control on this page.

Tell us which right you are exercising, the state you live in, and enough detail for us to find your records — usually the name, email address and telephone number you applied with.

How we verify you

Because applications contain sensitive financial information, we verify who you are before acting. We will ask you to confirm details already in our records. For a deletion request we may ask for additional confirmation. We will not ask you to create an account to make a request.

An authorised agent may act for you with written permission signed by you; we may still contact you to confirm.

How long it takes

We acknowledge requests within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you within that period and may extend once, as state law allows. Opt-out requests are actioned promptly, generally within 15 business days.

There is no charge, unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we will explain before doing anything.

When we may not be able to comply

Information collected to provide a financial product is largely regulated by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and several state privacy laws exempt that information from their access and deletion rights. We also keep records we are legally required to keep — for example, credit application records retained to satisfy the Equal Credit Opportunity Act.

Where an exemption applies to part of your request, we will tell you which part and why, and we will complete the rest.

Note also that once your application has been presented to a lender or lessor, that provider holds its own copy under its own privacy policy. A request to us does not reach them; you would need to contact them directly.

No discrimination

We will not deny you service, charge you a different price or give you a lower level of service because you exercised a privacy right.

Appeals

If we decline your request and your state provides an appeal right, reply to our response within 30 days and ask for an appeal. We will review and respond in writing. If the appeal is denied, we will tell you how to contact your state attorney general.
